Short-term pass – beach access points for people with a disability

General

Motor vehicles are prohibited from entering most beach access points. In our municipality, people with a disability may be eligible for a day, week or month pass upon presentation of a valid disabled parking permit, a comparable European card or, in exceptional cases, a doctor’s certificate not older than one year.

Where to collect the short-term pass

You can collect the pass at the service desk of the town hall or at Vakantiewoningen aan de Kust in Sint Maartensvlotbrug. Please check the opening hours of the town hall and the opening hours of Vakantiewoningen aan de kust in Sint Maartensvlotbrug before you go.

Beach entrances with a barrier

This day, week or month pass gives you access through the barriers at the following beach entrances:

  • Beach entrance 15 in Sint Maartenszee
  • Beach entrance 17 in Petten

At the other beach entrances, access is not possible or the pass is not valid.

Parking

If you are unable to drive yourself, you can still apply for a day, week or month pass with a valid disabled parking permit, a comparable European card or, in exceptional cases, a doctor’s certificate. You may then be dropped off at one of the above beach entrances. Please ensure the driver parks the car in a regular parking space so that the disabled parking bays remain available for drivers with a valid disabled parking permit, a comparable European card or, in exceptional cases, a doctor’s certificate.

Applying for a permit

If you hold a valid disabled parking permit, a comparable European card or a doctor’s certificate not older than one year, you may be eligible for a long-term permit.
