Waste collection

Household waste centre (HVC) is responsible for the collection of household waste. For example: containers for organic waste, plastic, cardboard, cans, paper and general waste. In other words, the green, orange, blue and black bins. HVC also empties the underground containers for general waste, glass, textiles and paper. The multi-mini bins in Schagen, Waarland and Warmenhuizen are also emptied by HVC.

The field division of the Municipality of Schagen is responsible for emptying all waste bins in public spaces. Private waste collection companies are responsible for collecting commercial waste (from businesses, associations. institutions, etc.).
