You can arrange online to have your bulky waste collected. You can also take bulky waste to a waste recycling station yourself.

What is bulky waste?

Bulky waste is waste that cannot be disposed of in a bin or bag for intended for household waste. It also does not fall under the category of organic waste, plastic, metal and drink cartons, paper, textiles or glass. Bulky waste may not be more than 2 metres long and must be manageable for one person.

  • furniture (e.g. cupboards without glass, sofas or beds);
  • electrical appliances (e.g. computers, televisions);
  • old carpets

Not considered as bulky waste:

  • construction and demolition waste (waste originating from renovation or demolition work);
  • mirrors, plate glass, ceramic, stony materials or concrete and earthenware plant pots;
  • anything more than 2 metres long or tall. 

Where to take your bulky waste

You can take your bulky waste, construction and demolition waste to a waste recycling station. This is free of charge for private citizens.
