Advice for travellers

Contact the Area Health Authority, the GGD.

Lost document

If you have lost your ID card, please inform us as soon as possible. Do this by filling in the Missing Document form. You will need your DigiD code.

You do not need to go to the police first to report the loss.

Copy of ID card

You can make a copy of your ID card with the KopieID app. With this app, you can cross out any details about your identity that the organisation does not need or may not process. For example: your Public Service number (BSN). And your passport photo or signature. This depends on the organisation concerned and on the purpose of the copy.

You can also use the app to put a watermark on the copy. You note the purpose and date of the copy in this watermark. You can also add this watermark even if you have not crossed anything out. Then, you can send or print the copy.

It is also possible to save the edited copy safely. Only if details have been crossed out. This makes it possible to reuse a copy.

If the copy should fall into the hands of fraudsters, the KopieID makes it more difficult for them to use it for fraudulent purposes.

Download KopieID app

You can download the KopieID app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This app is published by the National Office for Identity data (RvIG), which falls under the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
