General

You use a passport to prove your identity and for travelling to countries all over the world.

We only work on an appointment basis. You cannot drop in without an appointment. You can make an appointment by telephone or by using the button below. Appointments are free of charge.

Submitting an application

You must come in person to the Town Hall to apply for a passport. Do you wish to apply for passport or an ID card for your child? Your child must come with you when you make the application. Children of 12 years and older must collect the requested document in person.

What you need to bring with you

If you are aged 18 and above

  • All of your passports and identity cards. (Even if they have expired).
  • A passport photo. Please remember:Dutch passport photo requirements
  • Your bank card or cash. You have to pay when you are making your application.

If you are younger than 18

  • All of your passports and identity cards. (Even if they have expired).
  • A passport photo, taking into account Dutch passport photo requirements
  • Written permission from both parents or from the person who has parental authority: Statement of consent for passport application by a minor, printed and signed.
  • An original identity document for both parents or for the person who has parental authority: Please note: copies are not acceptable. 
  • Your bank card or cash. You have to pay when you make your application.

Validity

A person older than 18 years: valid for 10 years
A person younger than 18 years: valid for 5 years

Delivery time

You can collect your passport about 5 working days after your application. We will keep your passport for a maximum of 3 months.

We work by appointment only, including collection.

Urgency

Do you urgently need a passport? You can make an appointment for an urgent application. This will take one working day. You must make an application before 3:00 PM and collect the passport the next working day after 10:00 AM. You will have to pay the amount of € 57,05, in addition to the cost of the passport.

Lost document

Have you lost your passport?

Report this digitally as soon as possible, or make an appointment to apply for a new document at the desk in the Town Hall. This is important to prevent any possible misuse.

Reporting the loss of a travel document is free of charge.
