Rectifying inaccurate personal data
General
We keep records of our residents in the Key Register of Persons (BRP). If there are inaccuracies in your personal data, you can ask the municipal authorities to correct it. This is known as a request for correction.
What you need to know
- You have to be registered in the BRP of the municipality of Schagen.
- You can only request to have your own information changed.
- It is up to you to proof that your information is not registered correctly. You can do this with original documents, like a birth certificate or marriage certificate. Make sure to check if you need additional procedures before handig in the documents.
- It can take up to 4 weeks before we contact you regarding your request.
Rectifying data
You can request to have your information changed in one of two ways.
In person
If you want to request this in person you do need an appointment with Burgerzaken. For this appointment you need to call us at (0224) 210 400.
Digital
You can digitally request to have your information changed.
Costs
We do not charge money to change your information.
