Waiver of entry ban – beach access points for people with disabilities
General
Motor vehicles are prohibited from entering most beach access points. In our municipality, people with disabilities can apply for a waiver by presenting a valid disabled parking permit or comparable European card. This waiver allows access to the beach by car. You can apply for a waiver for beach entrance 15 in Sint Maartenszee and beach entrance 17 in Petten.
It is also possible to apply for a waiver on behalf of a person with a passenger transport impairment,such as a family member. The waiver may only be used if the disabled parking permit holder is present.
Requesting a waiver
You can apply for either a temporary or a long-term waiver. A temporary waiver is valid for no more than one month. You can apply for a temporary waiver in the form of a day, week or month pass from the municipality. You can make an appointment online or call (0224) 210 400.

Doctor's certificate
If you do not have a disabled parking permit, you may obtain a waiver for beach entrance 15 in Sint Maartenszee on the basis of a doctor’s certificate.
The doctor’s certificate must be no more than three months after the issue date.
Maximum validity period of the waiver
The waiver is linked to the validity period of your disabled parking permit. A disabled parking permit is issued for a maximum of five years.
A waiver based on a doctor’s certificate is issued for a maximum of one year.
Processing time
A daily, weekly or monthly pass can be collected by appointment at the town hall – provided you can show a valid disabled parking permit or doctor’s certificate.
For waivers valid for more than one month, you can apply online. We will respond to your application within eight weeks.
Lost, stolen or damaged
If your waiver card or access pass is lost, stolen or damaged, please report this to us as soon as possible. A fee will be charged for replacement.
Facilities at beach entrances 15 and 17
Both beach entrances have parking facilities. Beach entrance 15 also has a beach pavilion.
Costs
No fees are charged for processing an application for a waiver.
Changing the vehicle or registration on an existing waiver costs €39.10.
If you need a replacement access pass due to loss, theft or damage, you will be charged €39.10 for processing the request, plus €6.65 for the replacement pass itself.
